 Pictured is the Jubilee Well outside Rose Cottage which was built in 1887, on the occasion of Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee.  The well was then the only public water supply for the whole village.

The Yew Trees Public House was located in Orchard Road and closed in 1909.  In 1901 the Inn Keeper was William J Worley. 

 

 

The Lofty Family History 1904 - 1992 as compiled by Mr Chris Lofty.  A new bench donated by Mr Melvyn Lofty will soon be installed outside the shops in Orchard Road to commemorate his family's contribution to Seer Green with the inscription "IN LOVING MEMORY OF ERNIE & MARGARET LOFTY & THE LOFTY FAMILY BAKERS AND GROCERS IN THE VILLAGE 1904-1992"
