The Parish Council is responsible for providing and maintaining several areas around the village which include the Recreation Ground, Sports Pavilion and Allotments, the Cemetery, War Memorial, Green Wood, Jubilee Walk, Green Meadow playground and Jubilee Hall for which we are sole Trustee.
In addition we provide 68 streetlights in the village, a Mobile Vehicle Activated sign and two defibrillators located at Jubilee Hall and the Pavilion at the end of Park Place.
Buckinghamshire Council have devolved some responsibilities to the Parish Council which include the verge grass cutting within 30mph area and the strimming of footpaths at ground level of weeds. We have introduced some wildflower areas in the verges that we get cut. Hedges are the responsibility of the land owner and if they have been reported as an issue on Fix My Street then the Parish Council will contact the landowner concerned.
