Seer Green War Memorial

A DEDICATION SERVICE was held on Sunday 14th July 2013 for the War Memorial, which was unveiled by Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Her Majesty's Lord Lieutenant for Buckinghamshire.

In 2007, following village consultations, the churches had expressed support to erect and dedicate a War Memorial in the village for a community act of Remembrance as the size of the congregation had outgrown the three indoor places (Holy Trinity, Seer Green Baptist Church and Jubilee Hall) where plaques remember the soldiers. The Parish Council took up the plan to have one in place by 2014, the anniversary of the start of the First World War. Over £16,000 was raised through generous grants and donations from Seer Green Music Festival, Buckinghamshire County Council and many other local organisations and individuals which are detailed in our Newsletters.

The soldiers remembered on the memorial are listed within the Order of Service for the dedication of the War Memorial.
